Our work in the community

OUR NEXT CHALLENGE

In July 2026, this young, local man is intending on travelling to Peru to work alongside local communities. He’ll be assisting community-led projects like building houses and schools, cleaning up and renovating local areas and contributing to conservational and environmental efforts.

For Adam, this is a massive challenge. With someone who has autism, connecting with new people is a big deal for him, but he believes it is a challenge that will help him develop, and allow him to show other people with Autism that anything is possible.

For Adam to make this life changing journey possible, he has challenged himself to hike to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) to rasie money. With our help, and the help of our First In Community,   we are sure he can smash this challenge and raise the funds he needs.

Any contribution, big or small, will help him reach his goal.

All the best Adam!

In July 2024 First In Events director Tom, walked 150 miles whilst carrying 35lbs, to raise funds for Help For Heroes. His walk encompassed wide ranging parts of the UK, including Scotland, Wales, North Yorkshire and his old training grounds in the Brecon Beacons and Long Valley in Aldershot. Tom raised a total of £4110 for the Help For Heroes, helping to support service personnel in their times of need.

On Sunday 4th August 2024 a team from First In Events supported Al Strudwick, a veteran and double amputee, fulfill his dream of climbing a mountain again. Something Al hasn't been able to achieve on his own since losing both of his legs.

Al and the team worked hard to make his dream come true.

Thank you to all who have donated so generously to help the Celtic Warriors Wheelchair Club.

Al managed to raise an awesome £2642. Great work all!
